Yesterday morning I volunteered in Matthew’s classroom. Here’s what went down. Outside my brain: Ms. Torres, “Mrs. Hilbig would you work with these kids on double digit multiplication.” Me with a big smile, “Sure, come on guys.” Inside my brain: Total panic. “What the heck is double digit multiplication? What is multiplication? Did I even go to fourth grade? Where am I?”
Anyhoo, I used a little ingenuity and asked Brendan to show everyone (and I meant everyone) on the white board how to do double-digit multiplication. Problem solved :).
